A week's relaxed walking and talking in two of the most beautiful regions of Ireland: Antrim, in the north-east, with its strong Scottish links and Donegal, in the north-west, with its Irish-speaking communities and ancient history.

In Antrim you will stay in the pretty and historic village of Cushendun in the heart of the Glens.

A majestic coastal walk to the Giant's Causeway, one of nature's wonders, a visit to the Kebble nature reserve on Rathlin Island to observe the thousands of nesting birds at the spectacular RSPB seabird colony, crossing the rope-bridge at Carrick-a-Rede and viewing the sheer cliffs at Fair Head will be the main activities during our three days there.

In south-west Donegal you will stay in Glencolmcille, whose ancient history we will encounter on our walks.

These will include Slieve League, the highest sea-cliffs in Europe, the wild romantic valley of Glen Lough - where Dylan Thomas stayed - and the uninhabited townland and fishing village of An Port. Glen has been called the "Valley of Music" and you will experience this in the local pubs.
